Tesla Model 3 Gets a New Indicator Stalk in China

Tesla has made a change to the Model 3 in China, introducing a new indicator stalk behind the steering wheel. This update, which was decided by Tesla's management team, has made the stalk slimmer than its previous version.

The new indicator stalk, priced at ¥2499 (NZ$598) in China, does not include a button for a single window wipe or washer fluid. This change is only available in the Chinese market as of now, and Tesla's Chinese website has not announced if it will be available in other markets.

Tesla's Chinese website has also announced that the new indicator stalk will be available as a retrofit for Model 3 'Highland' owners in China from mid-September. However, Tesla New Zealand has not confirmed when the updated Model 3 with the physical indicator stalk will be available or if a retrofit will be offered to existing owners. Tesla New Zealand has also not commented on the availability of the new indicator stalk outside of their market.

Interestingly, Tesla has not announced any changes to the Model 3's manufacturing location outside of China. All versions of the Tesla Model 3 are currently manufactured in China.

This update to the Model 3 in China is a part of Tesla's ongoing efforts to improve the driving experience for its customers. The company continues to innovate and make changes to its vehicles to meet the evolving needs and preferences of its customers.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Tesla Model 3 and other Tesla products.
