In a series of recent deployments, the Dortmund Police have been actively working to maintain safety and order in the city centre. These operations, part of the presence concept "Focus", have resulted in several significant findings and actions.
In the Nordmarkt area, smaller amounts of narcotics and cash were seized, leading to the filing of criminal complaints. Numerous stay-away orders were also issued. A known "dealer" on Flotowstraße was found to have repeatedly and multiply violated spatial restrictions, leading to the initiation of corresponding criminal proceedings.
Another arrest warrant was executed in the Nordmarkt area against a 22-year-old individual. After paying off an almost 1000 euro warrant, the individual was released. A three-digit sum was secured for preventive seizure during an encounter with a 29-year-old individual, who had also repeatedly violated spatial restrictions, leading to the initiation of criminal proceedings.
In a separate incident, a 58-year-old individual was found to have an arrest warrant with a six-month prison sentence during one of these checks. He was subsequently handed over to Dortmund Prison. At the north exit of the main station, a 29-year-old individual was found with several units of drugs. Indicators of illegal drug trafficking led to the seizure of the substances.
In a positive development, a 36-year-old individual was found riding a stolen high-value e-bike on Stollenstraße. The e-bike was secured with a corresponding criminal complaint filed.
