New Caritas Day Care Center Opens in Kaarst-Buettgen
The new Caritas day care center, named "Old Fire Station," has opened its doors in Kaarst-Buettgen. Located on the grounds of the Caritas house Aldegundis, this day care center complements the Caritas offer for seniors in Buettgen.
The day care center operates from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and includes a transport service. Activities offered at the center include gymnastics, memory training, singing, dancing, playing, crafting, and more, designed to provide relief for caring relatives and give seniors a fixed daily structure.
The day care center boasts a large living/activity/dining area, a therapy room, a rest room, a care bathroom, and a large outdoor area. The color concept of the rooms was designed by the artist Moni Müller, with the intention of making it easier for people with dementia to orient themselves.
