Explore the captivating world of high medieval Brunswick at the Museum St. Ulrici-Brothers, open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm, and Sundays from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, with Mondays closed. Located at Schützenstraße 21 A, 38100 Brunswick, this family-friendly museum invites both children and adults to delve into the past.
The museum's permanent exhibition, titled "Bruneswic anno 1221", offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily lives of Brunswick's inhabitants during the High Middle Ages. Archaeological artifacts showcase insights into housing, nutrition, clothing, craftsmanship, trade, and leisure activities of the era.
Visitors can interact with characters such as Maid Guda, Noblewoman Eleonore, Novice Odo, and Page Wilderich, who share their lives, tasks, dreams, and challenges in high medieval society. The museum offers numerous interactive stations for an immersive experience, allowing you to feel the period with your senses.
Admission prices are as follows: adults pay 6 €, reduced admission is 4 €, children from 6 years old pay 3 €, and children under 5 years old have free admission. A combination day ticket is available, which is valid for visiting the permanent exhibitions in the Museum Hinter Aegidien as well as in St. Ulrici-Brothers on the same date.
