The 190th Oktoberfest, which kicked off on September 20th, is well underway, and one of the most traditional tents, the Braurosl, is serving up a culinary treat that's turning heads. The Tomahawk steak, available at the Braurosl tent, is a feast for three to four people and comes with an extraordinary price tag.

Priced at 179 euros, the Tomahawk steak is a hefty 1.3 kg of meaty goodness. But it's not just the size that makes this dish a standout. The steak is accompanied by rosemary potatoes, vegetables, brown butter, Béarnaise sauce, and port wine and teriyaki sauce. For those seeking a truly indulgent experience, the truffle version of the Tomahawk steak, priced at 229 euros, features fresh black truffle and a truffle Béarnaise sauce.

The Braurosl tent, one of the largest and most traditional tents at the Oktoberfest, is no stranger to serving unusual dishes. This year, the truffle version of the Tomahawk steak might be considered unusual by some Oktoberfest-goers, but it's a testament to the event's evolving culinary landscape.

While traditional dishes like fried chicken, pork knuckles, and cheese spaetzle remain staples, the Oktoberfest is also embracing trendy options. The truffle version of the Tomahawk steak is just one example of this shift, joining dishes like fried chicken and cheese spaetzle in the spotlight.

Beer prices at the Oktoberfest are expected to cost between 14.50 and 15.80 euros per liter, marking a roughly 3.5% increase from last year. Despite the price hike, the Braurosl tent's operator, Franziska Kohlpaintner, defends the pricing and menus there.

As the Oktoberfest continues, it's clear that the event is not just about traditional Bavarian fare. With dishes like the truffle version of the Tomahawk steak, the Oktoberfest is showcasing high-end cuisine that's sure to delight food lovers from around the world.
