The Global Citizen Festival, an annual event organised by the international organisation Global Citizen, has announced its return for 2025. This year's event promises to be a spectacular gathering, with a lineup of renowned celebrities, inspiring performances, and a commitment to making a difference in the world.

The Great Lawn of Central Park will play host to the festival on Saturday, September 27. The headliners for the night are none other than The Weeknd and Shakira, two global superstars who are sure to enthrall the audience.

Joining them on stage will be a host of talented artists, including Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Mariah the Scientist. In addition, a number of high-profile speakers have been announced, including Kristen Bell, Tony Goldwyn, Laurie Hernandez, Nate Burleson, and Vladimir Duthiers.

Longtime Global Citizen ambassador Hugh Jackman returns as host for the 11th year, and this year, he will be joined by a team of co-hosts. Bill Nye, Adam Lambert, Danai Gurira, and Liza Koshy have been announced as co-hosts for the festival, bringing their unique perspectives and talents to the event.

The festival's goal is to inspire action to end extreme poverty, combat climate change, and support sustainable development worldwide. For each action completed, participants earn points that enter them into a ticket lottery. Tickets to the festival are free, but they must be earned by completing actions like signing petitions, sharing messages, or volunteering with local organisations.

The Global Citizen Festival is more than just a concert - it's a movement. It brings together people from all walks of life to take action and make a difference in the world. Whether you're a music lover, a social activist, or simply someone who wants to make a positive impact, the Global Citizen Festival is an event you won't want to miss.

So, get involved and earn your tickets today. Together, we can make a difference and create a better world for all.
