Thief flees from store in Neheim, pursued by Polish law enforcement
In an incident that took place on August 28, 2025, a 25-year-old German resident of Arnsberg was arrested for a beverage can theft at a local supermarket.
According to the Circular Police Authority Hochsauerlandkreis, the suspect stole a beverage can from a supermarket in Arnsberg at around 14:20. After being confronted by a supermarket employee, the suspect drank the beverage and pushed the employee aside without paying for the can.
The suspect then fled the scene, heading towards Lange Wende. However, the police were alerted and managed to apprehend the individual in Kantstraße. During the arrest, the suspect is reported to have insulted and kicked one of the officers.
The suspect was brought to the ground during the arrest and has since been charged with robbery.
