Thieves make off with restaurant's safe
A violent burglary took place at a restaurant on Otto-Lilienthal Street in Euskirchen early Monday morning, 8th of September, at approximately 2:40 AM.
The unknown perpetrators gained entry to the building by forcefully opening the entrance door. Once inside, they searched the premises and forcibly removed a floor-mounted safe, which is a part of the restaurant's security system. The exact contents of the stolen safe remain unknown.
The extent of property damage caused during the burglary is currently unknown. The individuals responsible for the break-in then fled the scene with the stolen safe, and their direction of escape is unknown.
The Criminal Police have initiated an investigation into the case of aggravated theft. Witnesses are being sought to help identify the perpetrators and aid in the ongoing investigation.
