Thirty-five individuals collectively create an episode of "The Fallers" within the vineyards of Baden-Baden-Neuweier.

The Black Forest series "Die Fallers," produced by SWR Baden-Baden since 1994, is gearing up for its next episode, titled "Hills and Valleys," set to air on September 20th of next year. The 1310th episode, currently in production, is a thrilling tale of two characters, Sebastian and Albert, who find themselves in a challenging predicament during a vintage bike race.

The filming of this episode is taking place in the picturesque vineyards between Neuweier and the Yburg. The SWR film team, composed of 35 members, is handling the complex situation calmly and efficiently, despite the unpredictable weather conditions.

Sebastian, played by Dominik Stricker, and his character's friend Albert, are participating in a vintage bike race, a decision that adds an authentic touch to the series. However, due to the vintage nature of the race, phones were not allowed, leading to a series of unfortunate events.

In an attempt to cheat and find the right way, Sebastian, in a moment of desperation, uses his phone. This violation of the rules leads to a series of challenges, as they become lost, exhausted, thirsty, and disoriented during the steep climb on simple old bikes.

The director of the episode, Sebastian Monk, is capturing this predicament on film, adding to the suspense and excitement of the series. The filming of "Mountain and Valley" is a testament to the complex and expensive process of producing "Die Fallers," with shots from different locations often being filmed out of sequence.

Despite the challenges, the production for the next seasons of the Fallers series is already being worked on by the editorial team. The series, currently in its 28th season, shoots 40 episodes every year and plans to continue until 2028, although the SWR film studios in Baden-Baden are due to close in 2028, and the production may be outsourced to a private company.

Albert, who wants to modernize the Fallers' operation, wants to take photos and videos for a blog during the bike race, adding a modern twist to the traditional Black Forest series. The journey of "Die Fallers" continues, with each episode promising an exciting and engaging storyline.
