The 17th edition of the Festival of the Three Cultures is set to take place in Frigiliana from August 28 to 31, 2021. This unique event is a celebration of the coexistence of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities and traditions.
During the festival, visitors can immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of culture, music, and gastronomy. The music program includes Arab and Sephardic melodies, contemporary fusion, and performances by international and Spanish artists. Three main music stages have been set up: Patio del Ayuntamiento, Plaza de las Tres Culturas, and Church of San Antonio.
As the day turns into night, Frigiliana becomes vibrant with music and laughter in every corner. Belly dancers and fire shows will be performed after sunset, adding an extra layer of enchantment to the festivities.
In addition to the music, there will be over 150 artisan and food stalls, offering a variety of goods and local delicacies. Cultural activities, such as theatrical performances in the streets of Frigiliana and children's storytelling and interactive workshops, will also be available for families.
Medieval-style markets will be set up during the festival, providing a glimpse into the past while enjoying the present. For those who wish to sample the local cuisine, a tapas route with 16 bars and restaurants offers a chance to taste small plates and a drink for just €3.
