Tompkins Cortland Community College Sells Three Residence Halls, Retains Housing for 420 Students

In a recent development, Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) has sold three of its residence halls, but the housing of 420 students each semester remains unaffected. The TC3 Foundation, a nonprofit organisation that supports the college and its students, will continue to provide accommodation for the students in four buildings that were not part of the sale.

The three sold residence halls, built in the mid-2000s, were listed with commercial real estate firm CBRE Upstate NY. These buildings, located on campus in Dryden, feature apartment-style suites with multiple bedrooms, kitchens, and shared living spaces.

The TC3 Foundation currently owns seven residence halls, with four remaining post-sale. The Foundation plans to retain these four buildings that continue to house around 420 students each semester.

The college has seen a drop in students living on campus in recent years. However, the Foundation's commitment to supporting the students remains unwavering. In addition to providing housing, the TC3 Foundation offers scholarships, grants, and emergency aid to students in need.

For those interested in the sale, the three former student dormitories were offered for sale by TC3. The buildings have been listed with CBRE Upstate NY.

This sale comes at a time when student housing demand was booming, but the TC3 Foundation's decision ensures that the housing needs of 420 students each semester are met. The Foundation continues to support the Tompkins Cortland Community College and its students in various ways.
