On August 15, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on county road 54 near Ueckermünde at approximately 9:45 AM. The accident involved two German nationals, a 74-year-old woman driving an Opel car and a 69-year-old driver in a Mercedes-Benz car.

According to the police report, the Opel car was traveling towards Ueckermünde and slowed down near a field path to turn left. Unfortunately, the Mercedes-Benz car, following too closely, collided with the Opel car due to insufficient reaction time. As a result, both drivers sustained minor injuries. The incident also affected a 6-year-old child and a 69-year-old woman in the Mercedes-Benz car.

The total damage to property from the accident was approximately 30,000 euros. The police investigation has been initiated for suspected negligent bodily harm.
