Three individuals taken into custody following a burglary incident in Hamburg-Eißendorf.

In Hamburg, Germany, three suspects have been remanded to a detention center following a series of events that transpired on August 30, 2025, at 8:30 AM in the district of Eißendorf, Dahlengrund.

The initial investigation was carried out by LKA 26, later taken over by LKA 184, and is now being handled by the Homicide Commission of LKA 41 in close coordination with the Department for Capital Crimes of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The suspects, German nationals aged 24, 24, and 44, are accused of a violent attack on an 80-year-old man at his apartment. The attackers demanded cash and jewellery, which were found inside a secured VW Transporter.

The senior was taken to a hospital for further treatment due to injuries sustained during the attack. His caregiver, who arrived shortly after, notified the police and emergency services. The suspects were apprehended by multiple patrol car crews shortly thereafter.

Suspicion of attempted homicide arose due to the severe violence used during the crime. The senior managed to call for help, causing the attackers to flee. Investigations into possible influence of psychoactive substances or mental illness are ongoing regarding the suspect accused of killing a police officer in Völklingen, who was critically injured and remains in intensive care before possible transfer to prison.

Cash and jewellery found inside the VW Transporter have been taken as evidence. Arrest warrants for the robbery were issued by a judge.
