Tiffany & Co.'s Recent Jewelry Line Elevates the Iconic "Bird on a Rock" Piece to Stardom
Tiffany & Co. has expanded its repertoire with the introduction of a new fine- and high-jewelry collection, inspired by the intricate design of a bird's wing and its plumage. The artistic direction for this collection was taken over by Reed Krakoff, who provided a statement explaining the new collection.
The fine-jewelry line takes inspiration from nature, featuring bird wings overlapping each other and animals appearing in pairs or alone. One piece with scalloped edges can fit perfectly against the feather-shaped silhouette of another, making the perfect pair. A notable addition to the collection is a pair of convertible earrings, which can be switched from drop earrings to studs, creating four different looks.
One standout piece in the fine-jewelry collection is "Bird on a Rock by Tiffany Wings." This piece features diamonds with hidden settings, making them appear suspended in midair.
The high-jewelry collections reimagine the classic Bird on a Rock motif, created by Jean Schlumberger in 1965. Tanzanite and turquoise are the focus gems in separate high-jewelry suites, with necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, brooches, and rings featuring these gems.
