The watchmaking world is abuzz with excitement as MB&F M.A.D.Editions unveils their latest collaboration with renowned London-born artist, Yinka Ilori. The "Grow Your Dreams" collection promises to be a vibrant and imaginative addition to any watch enthusiast's collection.

Innovative Time Display

The timepieces in the "Grow Your Dreams" collection break away from traditional time display methods. Instead, the time is shown laterally on a hour cylinder along the case edge. This unique design, coupled with the collection's eye-catching colours, makes these timepieces more than just accessories – they are statements that celebrate the boundless possibilities of watchmaking.

A Lottery-Style Release

The M.A.D.1S "Grow Your Dreams" will be made available through a lottery-like system, adding an element of excitement to the already anticipated release. Registration for this unique opportunity is open until September 8, 2025, and is free of charge.

Three Distinct Variants

The "Grow Your Dreams" collection consists of three limited editions: Sun, Nature, and Water. Each variant is limited to 400 pieces, ensuring exclusivity for those fortunate enough to secure one.

  • The Sun variant features a purple display, a yellow rotor, and a yellow-green rubber strap.
  • The Nature variant boasts a red display, a green rotor, and a purple-red strap.
  • The Water variant showcases a light blue display, a blue rotor, and a two-tone blue strap.

Material and Design

All timepieces in the collection are made of titanium, providing both durability and a sleek, modern aesthetic. The base plate of the M.A.D.1S features aluminum wave patterns that create a 3D effect under the movement, adding an extra layer of visual interest.

For the first time, M.A.D.Editions uses HyCeram, a heat-treated liquid ceramic, for the bezel of the timepieces. This material is precision-milled into precise grooves and then polished by hand, resulting in a stunning finish.

Glowing in the Dark

Super-Luminova is used to ensure the Rotoe glows even in the dark, making these timepieces functional as well as visually stunning. The Rotoe of the M.A.D.1S "Grow Your Dreams" bears a filigree tree motif and shimmers in vibrant yellow, green, or blue through anodization, depending on the variant.

A Collaboration of Dreams

Yinka Ilori's works transform urban corners into colourful experiences, characterized by patterns, stories, and the belief that dreams can grow. His collaboration with MB&F M.A.D.Editions is a celebration of his colourful universe that drives one to realize their own dreams. Maximilian Büsser, the founder of MB&F, describes the collaboration as "a celebration of Yinka Ilori's colourful universe that drives one to realize their own dreams."

Yinka Ilori has previously collaborated with The Mill before working with MB&F M.A.D.Editions. He is also known for his work with Adidas, Nike, Lego, and the British healthcare system.

Pricing and Straps

The M.A.D.1S "Grow Your Dreams" retails for approximately 3,400 Euros. All straps in the "Grow Your Dreams" collection feature leaf engravings and are deliberately mixed in color. A white strap is included in the collection as well.

A Statement of Joy and Fantasy

The M.A.D.1S "Grow Your Dreams" is less of an accessory and more of a statement that watchmaking can allow joy and fantasy. Each variant in the "Grow Your Dreams" collection tells a story in colours, with distinct colour schemes for each watch. These timepieces are more than just a way to tell the time – they are a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the power of dreams.
