Kazakh Poker Players Shine in Christmas Freeze Series and More
In the world of online poker, Kazakhstani players are making a name for themselves, with several notable performances in recent tournaments.
Last week, the Bounty Hunter $33 event on partypoker saw Aliшер "ZebraOrange" (known as "ExtraZebra" on the platform) finish in 5th place. With 987 entries and a prize pool of $31,000, ZebraOrange pocketed $1,071.
Meanwhile, Event #1, with a $5.50 buy-in and a guarantee of $12,300, attracted 2,465 entries, surpassing its target and creating an impressive prize pool. In this event, "moonshark74" finished 4th, earning $612, while "NaYoMy_8st" took 2nd place, pocketing $1,429.
Two Kazakh players also made it to one of the final tables in the Christmas Freeze series on partypoker, although detailed information about their performances on December 22, 2022, is not publicly available.
Sergei "DelfiNchik" ("CooLSerGZ" on PokerStars) had a successful run as well. He finished second in the Daily Pacific Rim Special with a $162 buy-in and a $12K guarantee. DelfiNchik, who previously won $17K in the Sunday Marathon on PokerStars, also made an appearance in the Sunday Million on PokerStars, although his performance was not as successful as in previous tournaments.
The Sunday Million, with a $215 buy-in, attracted a total of 5,471 entries, creating a prize pool of $1,094,200. Kazakh players Asan "asiken" "almazyan2030" and "asim767" participated in this tournament, with asiken finishing in 565th place and earning $437, and asim767 finishing in 722nd place, earning $381.
In a separate event on 888Poker, "Castl01" from Kazakhstan was eliminated in 10th place in the Mini Mega Deep $22, earning $303. On Monday, December 24, Kazakh player "Wolfffff" finished 4th in the $22 Sunday Monday 6-Max, earning $2,278.
Finally, Event #2 with a $109 buy-in and a large guarantee of $250,000 attracted 2,154 players. "qinghe017" finished 9th in this event, earning almost $1,500, including bounties.
These performances by Kazakhstani players underscore their growing presence and success in the world of online poker.
