In a thrilling Top 14 clash, Toulouse emerged victorious against Clermont, securing a crucial four points in a match that was filled with tense moments and a few surprises.

The match started with Clermont taking an early lead, thanks to a try scored by their hooker, Barnabe Massa, in front of their home crowd. However, Toulouse responded strongly, with Thomas Ramos kicking three points before half-time to narrow the gap and make the score 14-17 in favour of Clermont.

Despite the close scoreline, Clermont did not manage to earn a losing bonus point, a fact that their head coach, Christophe Urios, criticised post-match, citing a lack of aggression and too much respect shown by his team.

Toulouse head coach, Ugo Mola, expressed satisfaction with his team's attitude but admitted that they could have done better. He highlighted the importance of the win, stating that getting four points at Clermont is not a common achievement.

The turning point of the match came just after half-time, when Ramos kicked a point to give Toulouse a one-point lead. The momentum swung in Toulouse's favour, and they capitalised on their opportunities. Jelonch set up Graou for a try, which was converted by Ramos, giving Toulouse a 25-17 lead.

In the final eight minutes of the game, Jelonch scored a try for Toulouse, which was again converted by Ramos, extending their lead to 32-17. Clermont fought back, with New Zealander fly-half Harry Plummer adding a penalty to level the scores again, but it was too little, too late for the home team.

The match was not without its challenges for Toulouse, who lost players Pita Ahki and Theo Ntamack due to early head knocks. Despite these setbacks, the team showed resilience and determination, ultimately securing a hard-fought victory.

In the end, Toulouse's forwards forced a try for hooker Cramont, which was also converted by Ramos, ensuring a 39-20 victory for the away team. This result moves Toulouse up the Top 14 table, putting them in a strong position for the rest of the season.
