Tournament Expels Cheat Ali Imsirovic from Poker Competition

Ali Imsirovic, Notorious Poker Cheat, Kicked Out of Another Tournament

Looks like Ali Imsirovic, the high-stakes poker pro with a (shady) past, has been given the boot again. This time, it's from Florida's bestbet Jacksonville tournament during the RunGoodPokerSeries Main Event. Yes, you read that right - the same guy who was already banned from GGPoker and the PokerGO Tour last year.

It all went down on day one when Imsirovic walked in as the stack leader. Yet, mysteriously, upon returning from dinner, he vanished without a trace, and his chips were taken out of play. The tournament staff later confirmed that he was no longer in the tournament, although no official statement has been made yet.

You might recall that this isn't Imsirovic's first rodeo when it comes to getting kicked out. Back in February, he was kicked out of Champions Club Texas' Winter Poker Open Main Event. The venue, part-owned by poker legend Phil Hellmuth, was "committed, first and foremost, to the protection of our members."

Imsirovic has managed to maintain some tournament access, playing and cashing at WSOP, WPT, and Venetian events, as well as a cash at the same bestbet Jacksonville venue in January. But with the upcoming WSOP now owned by GGPoker, which has banned him, it's anyone's guess whether Imsirovic and his fellow poker cheats will put in an appearance - and how quickly they'll be ejected.

According to some, such as Daniel Negreanu, Imsirovic should face an indefinite live and online ban, claiming not only is he a confirmed cheat but also "the opposite of remorseful and is actual boastful, bragging about robbing former friends."

In 2023, Imsirovic finally admitted to some level of cheating, but only regarding multi-accounting on GGPoker during the pandemic - denying ever using RTA (Real-Time Assistance).

Stay tuned to see how this unfolds. The WSOP is just a few weeks away, and we can't wait to see how Imsirovic and his fellow cheats fare - or if they'll even make an appearance.
