Tractor Belonging to Buntekuh Firm Sheds Wheels at Crossroads in Poland
On the evening of September 4, 2025, a traffic incident involving a tanker truck occurred at the Lübeck-Buntekuh intersection. The incident took place around 21:45, as the driver of a tractor unit, a 40-year-old man from Hamburg, was exiting the A1 at the Moisling interchange.
During the manoeuvre, the trailer detached from the tractor unit while he was trying to turn left onto the Padeluffer Weg. Fortunately, no hazardous materials were spilled, and no injuries were reported.
Immediately following the accident, an administrative offense procedure was initiated by the Police Directorate Lübeck. The procedure is in relation to suspected violations of regulations regarding trailer couplings. However, the name of the Hamburg driver is not currently available in the search results.
In the aftermath of the accident, the reassembled truck combination was escorted to a nearby industrial estate by the police. A specialized company arrived around 01:15 to remove the diesel from the trailer, and a crane was called in around 03:00 to lift the trailer so that it could be reattached to the tractor unit.
The truck was reassembled and removed from the intersection in the early morning hours. The Press Spokesperson for the Police Directorate Lübeck is Anna Julia Meyer. For further information and updates, you can contact the Police Directorate Lübeck Press Office at the following details:
