On the morning of September 5, 2025, a multi-vehicle accident occurred on the road to Siedewurt in Loxstedt at around 8:00 AM. The incident involved several vehicles, including an Audi, a Smart, and a Fiat transporter.
The accident resulted in light injuries for all three individuals involved: an 18-year-old man from Huelsede, a 54-year-old woman from Bremen, the driver of the Audi (a 48-year-old from Bocholt), a 29-year-old man from Bremen, and a 58-year-old woman from Bremen.
The accident occurred when the driver of the Smart did not notice the Audi braking in time and collided with it. The collision caused the Audi to skid, which then collided with the Fiat transporter on the main lane.
As a result of the accident, the vehicles were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The estimated material damage from the accident is around 15,000 euros, while the total damage is approximately 30,000 euros.
The fire and rescue services were not involved in the accident, but their operations temporarily closed the entire highway and partially closed it until around 11:15.

The police in Geestland are appealing for information regarding a missing truck that is suspected to have lost its load, as a white-red warning sign, usually attached to trucks or trailers, was found at the scene of the accident.
