The Porsche Club of New Zealand has announced the launch of the "Porsche Podium Pursuit" Scholarship for the upcoming 2025/26 season of the Porsche Championship. This exciting opportunity is in conjunction with MyRaceRide.com and is designed to give aspiring racers a gateway into top-level motorsport.

The scholarship will support one deserving driver to compete in the full six-round season of the New Zealand Porsche Championship, within the Boxster Trophy class (Class G - 2.5). The winner will be granted the use of a race-prepared Porsche Boxster 2.5 for the entire season, generously provided by MyRaceRide.com.

Interested applicants can register and submit their details via the form available on the MyRaceRide.com website. Entries should include a short, written CV outlining their motorsport experience, as well as a short video (maximum of 2 minutes) introducing themselves and sharing their racing background and aspirations.

While the program is open to drivers from various motorsport backgrounds, including circuit racing, speedway, rally, karting, drifting, motorcycle racing, track day driving, and sim racing, it is not designed for novice drivers. The successful candidate should have some previous motorsport experience.

The winner will also receive season-long mentoring from an experienced Boxster competitor. They will be responsible for covering their own consumables (tyres, fuel, brakes, entry fees), transportation, maintenance, and servicing of the race-prepared Porsche Boxster 2.5.

The car can be branded with personal sponsor signage at the driver's discretion. Judges will evaluate driving potential, but also an applicant's media awareness and ability to promote themselves and the Porsche Racing Series.

Applications close on 12 September 2025, and the winner will be announced shortly after. The program is only open to drivers who have not previously competed in the New Zealand Porsche Championship. As of now, there is no publicly available information about who constitutes the jury for the "Porsche Podium Pursuit" Scholarship in the 2025/26 season of the Porsche Championship in New Zealand.

Age is no barrier for the scholarship, with eligible applicants ranging from 16 to 60 years old. The winner will also be expected to be available for interviews and promotional opportunities throughout the season. A damage bond will also be required for the race-prepared Porsche Boxster 2.5.

This exciting scholarship offers a fantastic opportunity for a promising racer to take their career to the next level. Don't miss out on this chance to compete in the New Zealand Porsche Championship with the support of the Porsche Club of New Zealand and MyRaceRide.com. Apply today!
