Tried-and-True Gorewear Endure Pants with GORE-TEX Technology Prove Ideal for Enduring Riding in Wet Winter Conditions of the Pacific Northwest.

In the rain-soaked Pacific Northwest, where it rains from October to April and occasional showers continue throughout the year, a cyclist living there for 15 years has been on a quest for a decent pair of waterproof cycling pants. After testing several high-tech bib tights, he found the Gorewear Endure GORE-TEX pants to be the best contenders so far.

The Gorewear Endure GORE-TEX pants have performed exceptionally well in various weather conditions, including rain, hail, snow, mud, and filthy road rides. Made with GORE-TEX Paclite Plus material, these pants are lightweight, robust, breathable, durably waterproof, totally windproof, and packable, making them a versatile choice for road rides, commuting, trail riding, and gravel rides.

One of the standout features of the Gorewear Endure GORE-TEX pants is the pre-shaped knee and hip areas that allow for freedom of movement while cycling. The pants also feature an adjustable waistband with a drawcord, a silicone gripper on the back waistband, an abrasion-resistant seat panel, a waterproof side zip pocket, an ankle zipper for easy on and off, snap buttons to ankle width, reflective details, and pack into their own pocket.

The pants also boast a reinforced seat panel to prevent wear on the most abrasion-prone area. There's a zippered pocket located on the outside of the thigh, which is easily accessible and fully waterproof. The pants weigh 172 grams and were originally priced at $260, but are currently on sale for $150.

However, it's important to note that the Gorewear Endure GORE-TEX pants are being replaced by the Lupra GORE-TEX Pants, which are PFAS-free. While there's no information available about the specific locations to which the Gorewear Endure GORE-TEX pants can still be shipped, the cyclist believes they are worth considering for anyone in need of reliable waterproof cycling pants.

Despite the impending replacement, the Gorewear Endure GORE-TEX pants remain the best find for the cyclist in the wet Pacific Northwest, providing the much-needed protection and comfort during his rides.
