Trump labeled as a "talented showman" by Harald Schmidt
In a recent interview, German comedian Harald Schmidt shared his thoughts on US President Donald Trump, labelling him a brilliant entertainer. According to Schmidt, Trump's humour comes naturally, with his nickname for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, "Little Rocket Man", serving as an example of his entertainment.
Schmidt, who has previously had Trump as a guest on David Letterman's show, found the President to be a great guest. However, he also acknowledged that it is quite challenging for satirists to make fun of Trump, suggesting that one has to look very closely to find something remotely funny about him.
In the White House, the seating arrangement features Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and a separate, smaller chair for a European leader. The European leader sitting next to Trump was not explicitly named, but European leaders, including Ukrainian President Zelensky, were present during the meeting.
Schmidt, however, expressed no interest in German cultural articles that criticise Trump's America. The interview did not provide any new insights about Schmidt's views on Trump's natural humour or any specific examples of his entertainment.
Despite the challenges in finding humour in Trump, Schmidt believes that Trump's humour comes naturally, making him an interesting subject for entertainment and satire alike.
