During the call with Rutte, Erdogan and the Dutch leader agreed to remain on close coordination regarding the peace process. US and NATO planners are starting to draft options for a security guarantee for Ukraine, but the details of these proposals have not been disclosed. The Turkish presidency has stated that Turkey supports approaches aimed at establishing lasting peace with the participation of all parties.
Erdogan has been vocal about Turkey's efforts towards a just peace since the beginning of the war. He stated that Turkey has been striving for a just peace, hosting three rounds of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia since May.
