Turkish Airline reinstates flights to Misrata, expanding its Libyan flight network.

Turkish Airlines, a leading global carrier, has announced the resumption of direct flights to Misrata, Libya's third-largest city. This marks Turkish Airlines' return to Misrata after a suspension of over a decade, underscoring its continued investment in the African aviation market.

The new route adds to Turkish Airlines' existing Libyan destinations, Tripoli and Benghazi. Flights between Istanbul and Misrata will operate three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The outbound flight (TK1145) departs Istanbul at 11:30 a.m. and arrives in Misrata at 2:25 p.m. local time. The return leg (TK1146) leaves Misrata at 4:25 p.m. and arrives in Istanbul at 7:15 p.m.

The flights will be operated using Boeing 737-78D aircraft. Turkish Airlines is offering promotional fares for tickets purchased by September 9, 2025, for travel between Istanbul and Misrata. One-way fares for the promotional offer start at $349 from Istanbul to Misrata and $249 for the return journey.

The promotional fares are applicable for travel until November 30, 2025, but prices may vary depending on the point of purchase.

Mahmut Yayla, the Senior Vice President of Sales for Region II at Turkish Airlines, is responsible for overseeing sales operations in that region, including expanding flight networks to African and Middle Eastern destinations such as Libya and Syria.
