Two drug deliveries result in a large-scale narcotics seizure in Hamburg-Tonndorf

In an ongoing investigation, the Hamburg Police's responsible narcotics unit (LKA 62) has taken over a case involving German and Belarusian nationals, suspected of arranging a drug deal.

On Thursday evening, plainclothes officers from Police Station 38 temporarily detained seven men in the Tonndorf district of Hamburg. The suspects, aged between 19 and 27, were initially held due to their suspicious behaviour.

During searches of the individuals and a Skoda car they were driving, officers found cash totaling over 15,000 euros, several carrier bags, and a vacuum sealer. Further investigations revealed that the men had allegedly arranged a drug deal.

Two suspects were presented to the judge, while the 28-year-old suspect was released as there were no grounds for detention. The judge, however, issued an arrest warrant for a 22-year-old suspect. Unfortunately, there is no information about the detention of this suspect by a judge on Friday. The 22-year-old is now wanted by the police.

Upon checking an address, they found a 28-year-old Belarusian with moving boxes who was carrying drugs. The drugs found included the approximately 19 kilograms of marijuana and around 500 grams of cocaine.

Officers also received information about an apartment in the nearby Martensallee where drugs might be stored. Upon searching this address, they found more narcotics, including several kilograms of marijuana and cocaine.

The Hamburg Police have emphasised their commitment to combating drug-related crimes. For media enquiries, contact Patrick Schluse at the Hamburg Police, telephone: 040 4286-56215, email: [email protected], website: www.polizei.hambburg.de. The investigation regarding this drug case continues.

The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the police to help maintain a safe and drug-free community.
