Two heavy vehicles experienced a collision on an oil-laden route.

In the quiet town of Hürth, an unfortunate incident took place on September 3rd. A motorcycle accident occurred at the roundabout where Rodenkirchener Straße meets Im Feldrain, leaving one rider with minor injuries.

The accident involved two motorcyclists, a 37-year-old and a 61-year-old, who were navigating the roundabout at around 1 pm. The younger rider, on a Honda, managed to maintain control and remained uninjured. However, the older rider, on a Piaggio, fell due to the slippery surface caused by an oil spill on the road. He sustained minor injuries in the fall.

The Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police have launched an investigation into the accident, aiming to identify the responsible party for the oil spill. As of now, the individual has not been publicly identified. The police are urging the responsible party to come forward and are appealing for witnesses to the accident to step forward with any information they may have.

The affected roundabout was cordoned off during the investigation, and the fire brigade was called to absorb the oil spill. The police recorded the accident and have filed a traffic accident report.
