The Trump administration is escalating its military support for Ukraine, supplying the country with around a billion dollars' worth of arms monthly, funded by NATO allies. This was announced by the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker.

Whitaker revealed that a new weapons shipment worth nearly a billion dollars is on its way to Ukraine. He also emphasized that the ongoing communication between the parties is a good thing, and the process of communication between Trump, Putin, and Zelensky is ongoing.

The U.S. is not only providing Ukraine with conventional weapons but also enhancing its capabilities for "deeper strikes," a capability not previously offered under the Biden administration. This enhancement is aimed at bolstering Ukraine's defense against potential threats.

Whitaker reiterated that President Trump's primary concern is ensuring Ukraine can continue to defend itself. He further stated that Trump's strategy differs significantly from the previous Biden administration's actions.

The sale of 3,350 long-range air-launched ERAM missiles to Ukraine was approved by the U.S. government under President Donald Trump. The decision was made in late July or early August 2025, and the delivery was expected within about six weeks. The U.S. State Department approved the sale of these missiles the day before, for $825 million.

However, Whitaker did not mention any new back-channel talks with the Kremlin or exerting economic pressure on Russia in this paragraph. His focus remains on the military support for Ukraine and the ongoing communication with Russia.

Whitaker also emphasized that President Trump knows all the cards he still has to play in his dealings with Russia and Ukraine. He believes that Trump's primary aim is to stop the killings and attacks on Ukrainian cities.

The U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, reiterated that the Trump administration is engaged in ongoing communication with Russia and Ukraine, aiming to ensure peace and stability in the region.
