UAE Debuts ISEZA: Nation's Initial Free Trade Zone Focused on Sports and Entertainment
In a significant step towards the development of Economic Zones, Dubai has unveiled ISEZA, the UAE's first dedicated sports and entertainment business cluster within a Free Zone environment. Located in One Central, near Dubai's Museum of the Future, ISEZA aims to shape the future of sports and entertainment entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry expansion in the city for years to come.
ISEZA is part of Dubai's ongoing efforts to specialize in various industries, with over 40 Free Zones already established across the UAE. The new hub will work closely with key UAE authorities to provide streamlined business setup services, valuable networking opportunities, and a world-class environment for industry players.
The initiative targets major international and regional sports organizations, offering global connectivity, investor-friendly policies, and favorable tax regulations. ISEZA caters exclusively to sports and entertainment businesses, reinforcing the sector's expansion in the UAE and the wider Middle East, which currently contributes $2.5 billion annually to Dubai's economy.
ISEZA will provide licensing services across multiple industries, including sports management and marketing, event management, talent representation, media and broadcasting, e-sports and AI-driven sports tech, and fan tokens and digital engagement. The cluster will host global brands, sports leagues, rights owners, investors, media professionals, influencers, and creative industry experts.
CEO of ISEZA, Damir Valeev, emphasized the initiative's social impact, stating that it will foster a collaborative ecosystem for the sports and entertainment sectors. Khaled AlFahim, Vice President of Asset & Investment Management at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), further highlighted the provision of these services, underlining the potential for growth and innovation that ISEZA represents for the sports and entertainment industries in Dubai.
As ISEZA aspires to attract and support businesses in the sports and entertainment sectors, it is poised to play a crucial role in the continued growth and development of these industries in Dubai and the UAE.
