UFC Announces NetBet as its Official Sportsbook Partner
The highly-anticipated UFC event of the year is upon us, as UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Brady is set to take place in London, UK on Saturday. This welterweight main card event marks the UFC's 16th visit to London and 30th visit to the UK, making it the fourth nation to cross the 30-event mark (U.S., Brazil, and Canada being the others).
Former welterweight champ Leon Edwards will return to the Octagon for the first time since losing the title to Belal Muhammad last summer. Edwards, who hails from England, will face off against Sean Brady, a serious contender in the 170-pound ranks from the U.S. Brady is the money line favorite at NetBet, the UFC's Official Sportsbook and Betting Partner across the UK, Ireland, Greece, Italy, and Romania, at 1.58, while Edwards is at 2.37.
The partnership between UFC and NetBet was announced this Saturday, and will see NetBet have a presence in the Octagon, on UFC's international broadcast feed, and across digital and social media platforms during the event. NetBet claims to have a strong UFC fanbase, and TKO Senior Vice President and Head of International Business, Nicholas Smith, stated that the partnership is great to bring on a reputable betting partner with a strong, established UFC fanbase.
UFC has similar partnerships with Stake in Brazil and DraftKing in the U.S. and Canada. The company bet365 has also obtained the status of an official sports betting partner with the UFC in the UK, Ireland, Greece, Italy, and Romania. UFC is part of TKO Group Holdings, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
