In a significant move for the mixed martial arts (MMA) world, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced a partnership with Galaxy Entertainment Group. This collaboration, described by UFC president Dana White as "massive for the sport," will see three UFC Fight Night events hosted at the Galaxy Arena in Macau over the next four years.

The partnership builds on UFC's successful 2024 event in Macau and reflects Galaxy Entertainment Group's ongoing support for the Macau government's vision to integrate tourism and sports. COO Macau of Galaxy Entertainment Group, Kevin Kelley, is equally thrilled about the partnership, expressing his excitement for the opportunity to bring world-class MMA events to Macau.

UFC's Head of Asia, Kevin Chang, shares this enthusiasm, emphasising the partnership's potential to find new MMA fighters from across the Asia-Pacific region. The first event of the next season of Road to UFC will provide a pathway for fighters in the area to earn a UFC contract.

This move is part of UFC's rapid growth in Asia, with recent high-profile events selling out in China. The most recent event in mainland China, UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Zhang, also sold out, indicating a strong demand for UFC in the region.

The UFC's commitment to the Asia region and its fans is further solidified by this partnership. Dana White stated that the deal could not "have come at a better time." UFC has staged four events in Macau since 2012, including UFC on Fuel TV: Franklin vs. Le and UFC Fight Night: Yan vs Figueireido.

MMA fans in Macau will now have the chance to witness top-tier action at home, while visitors can enjoy the city's rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment alongside unforgettable fight experiences. With this partnership, UFC is looking to continue expanding its presence in Asia, aiming to bring the excitement of MMA to even more fans across the region.
