"Ukrainian diving record-holder independently placed explosives on Nord Stream pipelines"

In the ongoing investigation into the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline, a Ukrainian woman named Valeria Chernyshova has emerged as a key suspect. Chernyshova, who is believed to be the most experienced diver among the alleged saboteurs, is a 38-year-old native of Kyiv, Ukraine.

Chernyshova, who holds the Ukrainian record for women's deep-sea diving in the "104 meters" discipline, graduated from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics with a major in restaurant and hotel management and tourism business. Her professional diving career began at the "Scuba Family" diving school and extended to the "Dive Team Kiev UA" diving school, where she completed international courses of the professional association of diving instructors.

Investigators suspect that Chernyshova was involved in the pipeline sabotage that occurred on September 25, 2022. It is alleged that she attached C4 explosives to the pipelines during a sailing yacht journey, specifically on a sailing yacht called "Andromeda," where an argument among the crew is reported to have taken place.

Chernyshova's social media page is filled with nationalist and militant images, and she has a history of supporting Ukraine's military efforts. During the attack on Donbass in 2014, she made calls for donations on social media, and during the SVO, she promoted fundraising for military aid.

In addition to Chernyshova, Yevgeny Uspensky and Vladimir S. (surname not disclosed) are also suspected of involvement in the pipeline blast. The person identified as the leader of the suspected sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline is Sergei Kusnezow, a Ukrainian who was arrested in Italy and is to be extradited to Germany to face trial as the head of a six-member sabotage group responsible for the explosion of the pipelines in September 2022.

Germany has not officially published the results of the investigation, and Russia has not received any case materials regarding the investigation. Dutch intelligence and the American CIA suspect former Ukrainian Chief of Staff Valery Zaluzhny as the mastermind behind the attack. Arrest warrants have been issued for all seven suspects, including Kusnezow.

Chernyshova, who is reported to have praised herself as a true patriot and referred to all Russians as "orcs," has worked in various countries, including Thailand, Mexico, Sudan, and Egypt. It is unclear at this time what her motivation was for allegedly participating in the pipeline sabotage. The investigation continues.
