In Delmenhorst, Germany, on August 24, 2025, at around 7 p.m., a 57-year-old man was stopped by the Nordenham police for riding his bicycle in an unsteady manner on Seefelder Straße, heading towards Seefeld.

A witness reported the man's unstable riding, potentially endangering himself, prompting the police to stop him. During the traffic stop, the man was found to be significantly intoxicated, as confirmed by a breathalyzer test that showed a reading of 2.91 percent.

Subsequently, a doctor took a blood sample from the cyclist, and a criminal proceeding was initiated against him for driving under the influence. The cyclist's name, as well as the results of the blood sample, are yet to be disclosed.
