Man Arrested in Nuremberg for Suspicious Behaviour at Shooting Range
A 33-year-old man was arrested in Nuremberg on Saturday, August 30, following a series of suspicious incidents at a shooting range in the district of Erlenstegen.
The arrest was made by a special task force (STF) around 4:10 PM, after a search warrant was issued by the responsible judge at Nuremberg Local Court. The man appeared "strongly confused" to the officers during the arrest.
The Bavarian Police reported that the man was seen showing a suspected firearm at the shooting range, leading to a witness report near Güntherstraße. However, it was later revealed that the weapon in question was an air pistol, which was seized by the police during the arrest.
The man's psychologically unusual behaviour was a factor in the police investigation. He was taken to a specialized clinic for further evaluation.
The Nuremberg-Ost police station initiated investigations into the incident, and it is believed that the man will have to answer to the suspicion of violating the Weapons Act.
