Breaking News: Fire at Wedel Station's Underground Garage

A fire broke out in the underground garage at Wedel station in Pinneberg, prompting a swift response from the local fire department and the Technical Relief Organisation (THW). The incident was initially reported by the Kreis Fire Department Association Pinneberg via news aktuell.

Upon arrival, the incident commander, Jens Benoëlken, confirmed heavy smoke emanating from various entrances of the garage. Several teams in heavy breathing apparatus were dispatched to fight the fire. A vehicle caught fire and burned completely, causing significant damage to the ceiling of the garage. Construction supports are currently being used to stabilise the damaged area.

The fire department of Holm was alerted for support under FEU 3 alarm level. The incident was classified as "Fire with people in danger (FEU Y)" due to uncertainty about whether anyone was still in the affected area. However, after a thorough search, no people were found in the garage.

The police have initiated investigations into the cause of the fire. At the moment, the search results do not provide any information about who might have caused the fire in the underground garage at Wedel train station.
