On Sunday evening, August 24, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., a 57-year-old man was stopped by police in Delmenhorst, Germany. The incident took place on Seefelder Straße towards Seefeld, a location in the Land of Wesermarsch.

According to the Police Inspectorate Delmenhorst / Oldenburg, during the traffic stop, it was discovered that the man was under the influence of alcohol. A witness reported that the man was riding unsteadily, potentially posing a danger of falling onto the road.

A breath alcohol test conducted on the man showed a reading of 2.91 per mille, which led to a criminal proceeding for driving under the influence being initiated against him. The officers prohibited the cyclist from continuing his journey.

As a precaution, a doctor took a blood sample from the cyclist for further analysis. A blood sample was taken, and the results are yet to be disclosed.

The 57-year-old man was riding a bicycle on Seefelder Straße towards Seefeld when he was stopped by officers in Nordenham. This incident marks a reminder for everyone to be responsible and aware of their actions while using any mode of transport, especially when under the influence of alcohol.
