Unidentified individuals escape following burglary in EU politics
On the night of July 23rd to 24th, an intrusion was reported at the Bistro located in Eifel-Therme, Mechernich-Firmenich. Unknown individuals forced entry into the establishment, triggering an alarm.
A witness notified the Circles Police Department, who arrived promptly on the scene. The unknown individuals fled upon being noticed, and a search of the area, including a police dog, was conducted. However, no results were yielded, and the individuals were not found.
One unknown person was pursued by the witness but was later lost in the area of the federal highway B266/Lohmühle. The investigation is currently focusing on determining if the unknown individuals gained entry to the building and if anything was stolen.
