Unlawful Act in JVA: Post-Theft Incident Reported
In the city of Braunschweig, a 23-year-old man with a history of property crimes was identified as the suspect in a theft that occurred at a shopping market on Wendenring.
On Monday, August 18, at approximately 12:15 PM, the man allegedly stole a smartphone from a man whose pregnant wife was the victim of the crime.
The suspect, who is currently homeless, has 25 prior convictions in three different countries. These convictions include breaking into 10 cars and causing significant property damage, as well as stealing valuables.
Following the incident, the theft was reported to the Braunschweig Police, and a speedy trial was initiated for the suspect. The prosecution filed a motion for his detention, and the Braunschweig District Court sentenced him to six months' imprisonment without probation.
The suspect was subsequently transferred to the prison in Wolfenbüttel.
