Unlawful impostors seize money, jewels; teenager intimidated; suspect apprehended for garden shed burglary; petty thief nabbed; vandalized safety sign; child cyclist neglected
In a series of disturbing incidents, local authorities in Eschborn and surrounding areas have reported a rise in scams, burglaries, and other criminal activities.
On Tuesday morning, August 19, 2025, a man was arrested in Eschborn-Niederhöchstadt following a break-in at a garden shed on "Im Trollinger" street. The suspect, a local man of 32 years old, is of Polish origin and will now face criminal charges. The arrest was made after a vigilant witness reported the burglary to the police.
On the same day, between 15:00 and 16:30, impersonators claiming to be police officers stole cash and jewelry from a resident in Niederhöchststadt, Eschborn. The police are urging residents to hang up immediately if they receive such calls and to inform the police if they are unsure.
On Monday, August 18, 2025, a woman was robbed in a Bad Soden supermarket on Königsteiner Straße. Meanwhile, a 13-year-old boy riding his bike was overlooked by a driver in Hofheim-Marxheim on Monday morning. The boy had to be taken to a nearby hospital by emergency services.
The police in Eschborn have seen an increase in calls from impersonators claiming to be police officers. Inquiries can be directed to the Police Headquarters Westhessen - Wiesbaden at (0611) 345-1046/1041/1042 or email [email protected]. The Eschborn police are accepting tips at (06196) 9695-0.
One of the perpetrators was described as approximately 20 to 22 years old, about 1.75 meters tall, with an athletic build, short brown hair styled forward, a three-day beard, and brown eyes. He was wearing a light-colored T-shirt with a round neckline and dark jeans.
On Sunday, August 17, 2025, at around 01:15, a 16-year-old girl was sexually harassed by four unknown men in Bad Soden, near the Kurpark bridge. The police are seeking information about the perpetrators and ask anyone with information to contact the Criminal Police at (0611) 345-0.
On Monday, it was reported to the police that unknown perpetrators had defaced a sign in the field area near Flakweg. The estimated property damage is around 1,500 euros.
