A 26-year-old man with dual nationality from Madagascar and Nigeria was taken into custody on Sunday evening in Brandenburg an der Havel. The arrest was made by the Federal Police on suspicion of fraud, bodily harm, dangerous bodily harm, resistance, and assault on police officers.

The incident occurred on a Regional Express 1 train travelling from Kirchmöser to Brandenburg Hauptbahnhof. He subsequently refused to leave the train and behaved aggressively, resisting police measures.

During the arrest, the man injured two police officers. The officers received treatment on the scene from a paramedic, and they have since resumed their duties. The 26-year-old man was provisionally arrested by the police officers and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for a voluntary blood test. After completing all police procedures, he was released from the hospital.

The man, a 62-year-old German passenger, was unharmed and declined medical attention. The Federal Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and the suspect's current location or status has not been disclosed.
