The Association of Fire Brigades in North Rhine-Westphalia (VdF NRW) has announced the release of new fire safety education materials, focusing on supporting the education of children. These materials, which include two new picture stories for the Kamishibai storytelling theater, are now available for free download on the VdF NRW website.

The Kamishibai storytelling theater, a traditional storytelling form from Japan, uses picture cards inserted into a wooden frame to convey vital fire safety knowledge in an interesting, exciting, and playful way. This innovative approach is proven to strengthen self-protection and self-help skills within fire safety education for children in kindergarten and primary school age.

Maria Koch, the fire safety education and awareness officer at the Association of Fire Brigades in NRW, has overseen the development of these new materials. The two new picture stories cover the topics "Recognizing dangers" and "Correct behavior in case of fire".

Moderation card sets, which have gained high attention and positive benefits in fire safety education, are also included in these new materials. These card sets, now available free of charge, are now included in all fire safety boxes given to fire brigades.

The Association of Fire Brigades in NRW and Provinzial have developed and distributed various fire safety education instruments to fire brigades. The new materials are part of their ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and education of children in North Rhine-Westphalia.

For more information, please visit the VdF NRW website at http://www.vdf-nrw.de or contact Maria Koch at [email protected]. The press contact for the Association of Fire Brigades in NRW can be reached at Windhukstraße 8042277 Wuppertal.

The Association of Fire Brigades in NRW reminds everyone of the importance of fire safety education and encourages all fire departments to make use of these new materials to educate children in their communities.
