Introducing the New Morgan Supersport: A British Icon Reborn

The Morgan Motor Company, a name synonymous with British automotive heritage, has unveiled its latest masterpiece - the Supersport. This open-top car, with its interchangeable roof system, promises an exhilarating driving experience that combines modern technology with timeless style.

Manufactured in the heart of Malvern, U.K., the Supersport is the brainchild of Morgan's current Managing Director, Matthew Hole, who took the helm in 2024. Stephen Armstrong, as of 2025, assumes the role of Chairman, with Lawrence Price having served in the position from 2023 to 2025.

The Supersport, replacing Morgan's previous flagship, the Plus Six, which ceased production last year, is built on an updated version of Morgan's CX-Generation platform, known as the CXV platform. This platform retains its predecessor's bonded aluminum construction, but introduces significant improvements in torsional rigidity (up 10%), suspension mounting point stiffness (up 100%), and steering response (up 13%).

Under the hood, the Supersport is powered by a BMW-sourced turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine producing 335 hp. This powerhouse propels the Supersport from 0-62 mph in a blistering 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 166 mph.

The Supersport is not just about raw power, though. It offers modern conveniences such as a wireless charging pad, Sennheiser audio system, and a driver's digital display, ensuring a comfortable and connected driving experience. The car is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, making gear shifts seamless and effortless.

Weighing just under 2,580 pounds, the Supersport's lightweight construction, combined with its powerful engine, promises a thrilling ride. For those seeking even more control, a limited-slip differential can be added as an option.

The Supersport's design is as alluring as its performance. With its minimalist aesthetic, it offers a sleek, modern look that is sure to turn heads. A carbon-composite hardtop is available for the Supersport, enhancing vehicle rigidity and adding an extra layer of style.

While order books for the Supersport are open in the U.K., Morgan has not yet confirmed whether the Supersport will be available in the U.S. However, the recent launch of the Plus Four suggests that the new flagship may also make its way across the pond.

In conclusion, the Morgan Supersport is a testament to the company's commitment to blending tradition with innovation. With its powerful engine, modern conveniences, and timeless design, it is poised to become a new icon in the world of British motoring.
