The automotive world is abuzz with anticipation for the upcoming Skoda Epiq, a compact electric SUV set to revolutionise the city crossover segment. Measuring 4.1 meters in length, the Epiq is poised to be a significant step in Skoda's electric vehicle (EV) expansion strategy.

Skoda's "Modern Solid" design language is fully embraced by the Epiq, with a minimalist yet robust exterior that trades ornamental excess for clean, functional lines. The SUV boasts a gloss black Tech-Deck Face, T-shaped LED running lights, a muscular tornado line, and a Cashmere matt finish.

Inside, the Epiq's interior follows the "Simply Clever" ethos, offering practical features such as bag hooks, concealed storage, and underfloor spaces. The dashboard seamlessly integrates digital technology with physical reassurance, featuring wireless phone charging, haptic scroll wheels, and essential physical buttons.

The Epiq is designed with everyday usability in mind, prioritising practicality over luxury indulgence, reflecting a "mobile first" approach. It promises seating for five and a sizable 475-litre boot, making it the most accessible all-electric model in Skoda's portfolio.

The production version of the Epiq EV will be built at Volkswagen's Navarra plant in Spain, alongside EV models from Volkswagen and SEAT/Cupra, as part of a joint development and production project within Volkswagen Group's BGC initiative.

The Skoda Epiq is expected to be rolled out as part of the Group's electric vehicle strategy, being part of the Electric Urban Car Family initiative, which aims to roll out affordable EVs under Skoda, Volkswagen, and SEAT/Cupra brands.

The world premiere of the Skoda Epiq is scheduled for mid-2026. With an expected pricing comparable to the Skoda Kamiq in many markets, the Epiq promises to be an affordable yet high-quality electric vehicle option for many consumers. Furthermore, the SUV claims a range of up to 425 km, providing ample power for daily commutes and weekend trips.

The Skoda Epiq SUV is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the EV market, offering a practical, stylish, and affordable electric vehicle solution for everyday use. Stay tuned for more updates on this promising new model.
