Upcoming OnePlus 15 details and visual previews spilled prematurely before the unveiling: Here's what has been revealed so far

The tech world is abuzz with excitement about the upcoming OnePlus 15, the successor to the popular OnePlus 13. Recent leaks have revealed some intriguing new features that position the OnePlus 15 as a formidable competitor in the premium smartphone market.

One of the most noteworthy additions is the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a feature that promises faster and more secure biometric authentication. Additionally, the OnePlus 15 boasts IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, ensuring it can withstand the elements with ease.

Leaked images suggest a square-shaped camera module with rounded corners, housing three sensors. Reports indicate that the primary sensor will be a 50MP LYT700, accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, the OnePlus 15 is likely to sport a 32MP front camera.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, paired with a custom Oryon CPU, Adreno 840 GPU, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage. To enhance multitasking and speed, the device is said to come with a 16MB performance cache.

The pricing of the OnePlus 15, estimated at Rs 80,000 in India, marks a significant increase from the starting price of the OnePlus 13 (Rs 69,999). However, this price increase, coupled with the new features, further positions the OnePlus 15 as a premium flagship.

The battery capacity of the OnePlus 15 is expected to be 7,300mAh, supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This ensures that users can quickly recharge their device and get back to using it without delay.

OnePlus 15 is set to debut in China in October 2025 and roll out to India and global markets in early 2026. Three colour options have been leaked: Black, Purple, and Titanium, offering users a variety of choices to suit their personal style.

With its ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, powerful hardware, and impressive camera system, the OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be a formidable competitor among premium flagships. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to its launch.
