Updates this Week: Samsung's upcoming Unpacked event, clandestine Pixel 10 battery corrections, the turbulent events surrounding Nothing Phone 3, and additional tech news

Get ready for an exciting tech reveal as Samsung is set to unveil its latest devices at a virtual Unpacked event on September 4 at 5 p.m. ET. The event, which will be broadcast on Samsung Newsroom, Samsung.com, and the company's YouTube channel, promises to showcase a range of new products, including the much-anticipated Samsung XR Headset, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.

The Samsung XR Headset, also known as Project Moohan, is expected to make a splash with its immersive visuals, natural navigation, comfort, and speedy app performance. According to reports, the headset will be priced between $1,800 and $2,000, making it significantly cheaper than Apple's Vision Pro, which costs $3,499. The headset is set to launch at a Galaxy Unpacked event in Korea on September 29 and will have an initial release in South Korea on October 13, with a sequential release in global markets thereafter.

Among the other devices, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is expected to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, measuring 7.4mm in width and weighing approximately 190 grams. The alleged device, which has been spotted in an early online listing on a Portuguese website, MediaMarkt, is also rumoured to feature a triple camera array and thinner bezels.

Meanwhile, Google has confirmed a focus on AI as Pixel 11 design plans emerge, with no Pixel Flip or Pixel Tablets in sight. The company has also launched the Pixel Care+ program, offering free screen repairs for Pixel 10 and more. However, it's worth noting that the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro/XL have a battery feature called "Battery Health Assistance" that cannot be disabled, which means these devices would need to be plugged into the charger for longer periods.

In other news, Google has confirmed that no controversies have arisen over using stock images by professional photographers in the marketing for the Pixel 3. Despite this, Android Authority has identified five images that were supposedly captured by the Phone 3 but were actually licensed photos.

Lastly, rumours suggest that the event will also feature the Galaxy S25 FE, another budget phone, and the Galaxy Tab S11, along with an alleged Ultra version. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the big reveal!
