Outdoor Bath Ringallee to Extend Season Due to Favourable Weather

The outdoor bath Ringallee in Giessen may stay open a bit longer than initially planned, as favourable weather conditions permit. This extension comes as a welcome relief for bathers, as the summer season for the district's other outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden is set to conclude on August 31st.

The outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden, managed by Sonja Krausmüller, swimming master of the outdoor baths in the area, did not meet the expected visitor numbers in July. The month was marked by dull and rainy weather, which affected the number of visitors. Approximately 22,000 bathers visited the outdoor baths during the 91 days they were open.

Visitor numbers were also impacted during the summer holidays due to fluctuating weather conditions. The outdoor bath Ringallee, operated by Bäderbetrieb Mannheim, has not been mentioned to have been affected by such weather conditions.

Sonja Krausmüller, the swimming master, has announced that the closing date of the outdoor bath Ringallee will be communicated in advance. The outdoor bath Ringallee will remain open until mid-September, making it the only outdoor bath still open in the area after August 31st.

Season ticket holders for the district baths can continue to use their cards at the outdoor bath Ringallee. The outdoor bath Ringallee has been a popular spot for cooling off, swimming laps, and enjoying the sun.

The summer had mixed weather conditions, with the outdoor bath Ringallee providing an alternative for bathers after August 31st. It is worth noting that the outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden have seen similar weather-related impacts on visitor numbers in previous years.

For the latest updates on the closing date of the outdoor bath Ringallee, visitors are advised to check the press and the website www.giessener-baeder.de. The outdoor bath Ringallee season is scheduled to close on September 15, 2025.
