Outdoor Swimming Season Extended at Ringallee Bath

Good news for swimmers in the Giessen area! Sonja Krausmüller, the swimming supervisor of the Kleinlinden and Lützellinden outdoor pools, has announced that the Freibad Ringallee may remain open until the end of September, subject to weather conditions.

Krausmüller, who is also in charge of the Ringallee outdoor bath, made the announcement following a mixed summer season that saw unpredictable weather affecting visitor numbers. The summer holidays had a significant impact on the number of people visiting the outdoor baths, with July being particularly rainy and falling short of expectations.

Despite the challenges, the outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützelinden managed to attract a significant number of visitors, thanks in part to the opportunity they offer for swimming during the late summer season. The outdoor bath Ringallee, which remains open until mid-September (subject to weather), is the only outdoor bath still open after August 31st in the area.

Holders of season tickets for the district baths can continue to use them after August 31st, and Krausmüller has assured that bathers will be informed in advance about the closing date of the outdoor bath Ringallee for the season. Information about the closing date can be found on the website www.giessener-baeder.de.

According to the latest figures, approximately 22,000 bathers visited the outdoor baths in the 91 open days this season. However, no information about visitor numbers for the outdoor bath Ringallee was provided.

The outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützelinden have been open for 91 days this season, and the swimming season in these locations will end on August 31st. The Freibad Ringallee, on the other hand, may close a little later than mid-September, depending on the weather.

So, if you're looking to enjoy a swim in the outdoors, head to the Freibad Ringallee and soak up the last rays of summer!
