The Faculty of Design in Dresden, Germany, is hosting an exciting event series called Intershop from July 4th to 5th. This mobile kiosk, designed for joyful interaction in public spaces, will be moving around various locations in the city.
On Friday, July 4th, the Intershop will be located at the Fountain in Hauptstraße, inside Neustadt, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The following day, on Saturday, July 5th, the Intershop will have three different locations:
- Schene Courtyard, Alaunstraße, outer Neustadt from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Alaunplatz, outer Neustadt from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
- The Fountain, Albertplatz, inner Neustadt from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
The Intershop offers 12 interventions for playful interaction, such as sitting together, murmuring, enjoying, awakening, kissing, and talking. However, specific details about the interventions on Saturday, July 5th, have not been disclosed.
This project is a collaborative effort by students from the "Design Exploration" module who are exploring how design can contribute to shaping positive social interaction in public spaces. Sandrina Sperlich is among the students participating in the event on Saturday, July 5th.
The Intershop does not sell tabloids, tobacco, or canned beer. The students are inviting everyone to engage with the Intershop and experience the joyful social interactions it offers.
The event is open to all, so mark your calendars and join the Design Faculty of Dresden for an unforgettable Intershop experience!
