Urban expansion in Offenbach's city core: New park unveiled
In the heart of Offenbach, a new temporary green space named "Oasis of Relaxation" has opened its doors to the public. The city, in collaboration with property owner Kilian Bumiller, unveiled this tranquil haven on November 14, 2024.
The green space, situated at Herrnstraße 38, is part of Offenbach's future concept, the "Green Belt." This initiative aims to connect central places within the city center and bring more green into the urban space.
Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke and Head of Construction and Planning, Paul-Gerhard Weiß, conducted the official opening ceremony. Weiß highlighted the project's significance, stating that it provides a green space for people to stay and move.
The "Oasis of Relaxation" is not just a recreational spot but also intended to contribute to the city's ongoing efforts to improve citizens' quality of stay. The green space offers opportunities for relaxed conversations, games of boules, and a space to catch one's breath.

Bumiller is providing the space for the green space at his own expense for approximately ten years. The temporary green space aligns with the city's long-term concept, the "Green Belt."
