US Congressional Committee Releases Thousands of Documents Related to Jeffrey Epstein Case

The House Oversight Committee has published 33,000 pages of documents related to the politically sensitive case of sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein. The release of these documents was initiated by Republican committee chair James Comer.

The documents, provided by the US Department of Justice, have sparked interest due to their connections to prominent individuals. Among them are British politician Peter Mandelson, who was removed as UK ambassador to the USA due to his extensive correspondence with Epstein, and former US President Donald Trump. Trump is known to have socialized with Epstein, and allegedly exchanged letters with him, which have been a subject of public debate.

Several party videos also show Trump visiting Epstein's residence. Epstein's death in 2019, while in prison, sparked wild speculation due to his close ties to the American high society.

The release of the documents comes after growing calls within the Republican ranks to disclose all documents related to the Epstein case. However, Democrat Robert Garcia criticized the move, stating that most of the documents were already publicly known. Garcia argued that the Republicans in the House are trying to "make a spectacle out of the release of already public documents."

The Department of Justice informed the House Oversight Committee that it would begin providing documents in a few days. It was made public last month that the US government intended to hand over documents from the Epstein investigation to Congress.

The released documents are related to the Epstein case, a sensitive issue for Republicans and the administration of US President Donald Trump. However, it is important to note that the documents will take time to become available, and material related to child sexual abuse will be redacted.

The release of these documents marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the case of Jeffrey Epstein, and it is expected that they will provide further insights into his activities and connections.
